Can we break H2O to H2 and O2 simply by heating?

 Do you think we can separate H2 and O2 by simply heating?

If we start thinking then we will get like I take water in container, put on flame then it starts warming then boiling and steam is generated. The steam is also H2O, where is the loophole which is giving us broken H2 and O2 separately.
